Uses and applications of Data Loggers in different spheres of life

As the name suggests, data stands for information and logger means to input something as data into a device. By looking at these meanings, you would have already interpreted the meaning. For those who haven’t, here is the purpose or the meaning of Data Logger.

This device which is capable of recording data over a period of time and also has the ability to store it for a longer period of time. These are durable and long-lasting machines which are easily available at cheap rates in the market today. It can store data for longer periods than the previous models and retrieving data can also be done, that too, very easily.

After giving a brief description of all the features of Data Logger, now let us know the basic applications.

 1.       The most recently popular use can be that it is used in the attendance system machines which are nowadays prevalent in offices and schools. These are fitted inside the attendance system machines like biometric and real-time, and records the attendance of the employees and students respectively. Later the records are retrieved from the device without effort.

 2.       This device is so useful in this way that in large halls, stadiums or museums where a certain number of people are permitted to enter, for example, if the limit is 500 and by instance the number of people amounts to more than the required limit. Then, this device will raise an alarm through its sensors.

 3.       It is also used in monitoring of railway signaling of relay status.

 4.       Another very important use of it towards mankind is that it is capable of monitoring landslides and can inform the authorities well and beforehand so that they could look for a way out to cause no harm to lives and property.

 5.       It can also be used to keep a record of rainfall which can contribute towards rainwater harvesting.

As humidity/moisture is present in the air, these are also invisible and we can’t determine it without any machine. The percentage of relative humidity which is the most favourable to humans is between 30 to 50 percent.to ensure it, hygrometers have come into use. Read More...
