Acceleration plays an important role in the monitoring of a vehicle’s working and ability. Acceleration is measured as the change in the distance or velocity with time. If a vehicle can travel long distances in small intervals, it means it has very high acceleration but to the contrary, it means there is a low acceleration so there could be a fault in the engine of the vehicle signaling towards the checking and repairing of the engine. This can all be measured by using a single and simple device known as a Tachometer. It measures the acceleration of a vehicle in RPM units which stands for Revolution per minute.
This is not only the use, there are many other uses as well. Let me list in a brief format-
- To measure acceleration (as mentioned above) in the automobile industry.
- To measure angular distance of rotation.
- In laser instruments
- For treatment of vitiligo (a skin disease)
- In engine manufacturing
- In mills and grinders to measure the required RPM for grinding.
- In the marine fleet.
- Motor controlling industries, etc. Read More...
